Your data in Proverbia
Last updated November 2, 2026.
Proverbia is a Bible app with artificial intelligence. This page explains, in plain words, what the app stores, why, who we share it with and how you delete everything. The controller of your data is Wallmidia Negócios Digitais Ltda (Brazilian company number CNPJ 45.508.767/0001-64). Contact: wallmidia.ltda@gmail.com.
No sign-up
You don't need to create an account or give an email or password. When you open the app, we create an anonymous account: a random number that links you to your data on our server.
What we store
- Your first answers: first name (if you give it), the topic that brought you to the app, how often you read the Bible, your faith tradition, whether you prefer to read or listen, your reminder time and language.
- What you write and receive: messages in Chat and the answers; prayer requests and prayers, and what you save in your journal.
- Your progress: the daily steps you completed and the Bible chapters marked as read.
- Shared prayer request ("Pray with me"): only when you tap "Ask family to pray". Anyone with the link sees your first name and the request title, never the text you wrote, and can tap "I prayed for you". To count who prayed, the page keeps a random number in that person's browser, with no name or contact. You can stop sharing at any time, and the link stops working right away.
- Device address for notifications: if you allow notifications, the app keeps the code your iPhone provides to receive them, so it can tell you when someone prays for your request. The notice goes through Expo's and Apple's notification services. It is removed when you delete your data.
- Memories: short notes of what you shared in Chat (for example, "sister's job interview on Tuesday"), so the app can later ask how things are going. You can see them, delete them one by one or turn this off in Settings › Privacy › Memory. Conversations where someone asks for help in a crisis never create memories.
- Subscription: whether you subscribe, which plan and until when. Payment is handled by Apple; we never receive your card details.
- App usage: which screens and buttons were used (for example, "saw the plans screen"), linked to the anonymous account, so we know what to improve. Never the content of your messages or prayers.
The daily reminder is scheduled on your own iPhone, and the widget reads the day's data inside the device. None of this goes through our server.
How we use it
- To make the app work: answer in Chat, write prayers, pick the devotional for your topic, keep your journal and progress.
- To know whether you subscribe, so the plan's features are unlocked.
- To care for people in distress: if a message suggests a risk to life, the app shows help lines (such as 988 in the United States and CVV 188 in Brazil).
- To improve the app, looking at aggregated usage numbers.
We don't sell your data and we don't show ads.
Artificial intelligence
Chat messages and prayer requests are sent to Anthropic, the company that makes the Claude AI, to generate the answers and the memories. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, data sent through its API is not used to train its models. The verses shown come from the Bible text stored in our database, not from the AI's memory. Proverbia does not replace medical, psychological or pastoral care.
Companies that help us
- Supabase: database and servers, in São Paulo, Brazil.
- Anthropic: the artificial intelligence (United States).
- Apple and RevenueCat: payment and subscription management.
- PostHog: app usage statistics (United States).
- ElevenLabs: creates the devotional audio from the devotional text, which is the same for everyone. None of your data goes there.
- Expo: delivers notifications to your phone (United States).
- Vercel: hosts this website.
How long we keep it
Your data stays while your account exists. You can delete everything at any time in Settings › Privacy › Delete my data: the account and everything linked to it is removed from our database right away. Automatic backups may keep that data for up to 7 days until they are replaced. Deleting your data does not cancel your subscription, which lives with Apple: to cancel, go to iPhone Settings › your name › Subscriptions.
Your rights
You can ask to know what data we have, correct it, take it elsewhere or delete it, as provided by Brazil's LGPD, the GDPR, California's CCPA and similar laws. Write to wallmidia.ltda@gmail.com and we reply within 15 days.
Security
Data travels encrypted, and each account can only see its own data, enforced by database rules.
Children
Proverbia is not made for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. Important changes are also announced in the app.
